Rules Game Description & FAQ

Squad Formation
NIKKE DUEL ENCOUNTER is a competitive game for two players. You, the commander, and your opponent both prepare two or three Nikkes for a duel.
These rules explain the game for a 3-on-3 Nikke showdown.
- Both players must use different Nikkes.
- Create a deck consisting of each Nikke's 10 Tactical cards, for a total of 30 cards.
* You must use all 10 of each Nikke's Tactical cards. You cannot change the quantity of any cards.
* Map sheets are included with early purchases of the product. They will also be distributed at events, and are available to download and print for free from our website.
You can also compete with each other using squads of 2 Nikkes each. In this case, the deck will have 20 cards.
1 Nikke Acrylic Stand

10 Tactical Cards

1 Status Card

Insert the stand into the base pieces in the order shown below.

When lifting the acrylic stand, please hold the bottom part of the base [C].
If you hold elsewhere, the stand may come apart.
After assembly, store the product in its assembled form.
Repeated insertion and removal from the base may cause the base to loosen over time.
Take care not to apply excessive force when assembling. (The bottom base [C] has been manufactured to prevent accidental disconnecting, so the slot is quite narrow.)

Remaining HP:Starts at the colored position and decreases as damage is taken. After one full rotation, the Nikke is knocked out.
Attack power:When attacking, damage (DMG) is dealt equal to the current number of bullet icons.
As HP decreases, the colour of the information turns red. When this happens, the Nikke is in a "Burst" state.
Setup
- Sit opposite your opponent and place the map on the table.
-
Set all the Nikke gauges to their starting (colored) position. Shuffle your deck.
Align the gauge with the starting position - Each player draws 5 cards from their deck into their hand.
-
Decide the first player via rock-paper-scissors. The first player places their Nikkes on the ENTRY spaces on their side of the map.
Game Rules
Victory Condition
The first player to knock out all of their opponent's Nikkes wins the game.
* If you empty your deck twice during the game, you automatically lose the game. (Your time has run out.)
Turn Overview
Starting with the first player, players take alternating turns in which they perform all the below phases until the victory condition is met.
0Support Phase: You can remove any number of cards from your hand which belong to Nikkes that have been knocked out.
- If you remove 3 or more cards during this phase, you may move an additional space, or play an addition card during the Action phase.
1Action Phase: In any order you like, move up to two spaces and play one Tactical card.
- You can choose not to move or not to play a card.
- You can also choose to discard a card from your hand instead of playing it.
2Supply Phase: Draw back up to 5 cards.
- Before drawing cards, you may choose to remove any number of cards from knocked out Nikkes.
When your deck runs out, return all cards from your discard pile and shuffle them.
Do not place the removed cards into your discard pile. Keep them in a seperate removed cards pile.
Removed cards will not be used for the remainder of the game.
Movement
Move any Nikke one space. You cannot enter or jump over a space that is occupied by another Nikke.
[NO ENTRY spaces]
Nikkes cannot enter these spaces. You can spend two movement points to jump over.
Playing a card
Play one card from your hand into the discard pile to perform the effect described on the card.
The effect must be performed by the Nikke displayed on the card.

- If the card features an effect, process the effect.
- If the card features an attack, process the attack. Note that attacks are always processed after effects.
If an effect is indicated, process the effect if you wish. (You may choose to ignore the effect.)
[Trigger] Place the card faceup in front of yourself. Discard the card once the effect has been triggered.
[Non-stackable] Only one of these cards can be active at any time. If you play a second identical [Non-stackable] card, its effect is not processed and the card is discarded.
If an attack is indicated, process the attack if you wish. (You may choose to ignore the attack.)
Choose an enemy Nikke within the range of your attack and deal DMG. The damage is based on your Nikke's attack power, as indicated by the bullet icons on her gauge. The target Nikke rotates her gauge clockwise per DMG taken.
If, as a result of taking damage, a Nikke's HP becomes 0 (completes a full rotation), that Nikke is knocked out. Remove the Nikke from the map and place her to the side.
You cannot play cards which belong to knocked out Nikkes.
* You can play an attack card even with no opponent Nikkes in range. No attack will be performed, but you can use the effects listed on the card or simply discard it to draw a new card.
[Range: 2]
Can attack a Nikke up to two spaces away.
[DMG + 1]
Increases the attack's damage by 1.
[[AOE + 1]]
Deals damage to all enemy Nikkes within a one space radius of a chosen space.
A card icon with a Burst icon is a "Burst card".
Burst cards are played in the action phase like any other card. If that Nikke is currently in her Burst state (the information is displayed in red on her gauge), a powerful effect is triggered.
- If multiple of your Nikkes are in their Burst state, you can use Burst cards in consecutive order, e.g., Burst 1 → 2 → 3
- You can play a Burst card even if that Nikke is not currently in a Burst state. In this case, no effects are resolved and the card is treated as an attack card.
